"Happy Holidays!"

Happy Holidays blogger world! I am just so frustrated right now with the lack of picture-taking, blogging, etc. that I have (or have not) been doing over the last couple months! Of course, school has been over-taking my life as usual, but blogging just has not been on my mind lately for some reason! I promised pictures of our family day at the Louisville/West Virginia game, but sadly when I turned on my camera to take pictures, the battery was dead. I couldn't believe it because I had charged it two nights beforehand but I accidentally was uploading pictures for a school assignment and uploading them into my computer used up all the battery. I do have one picture that is on my cell phone, but I am not sure how to upload it just yet. Oh well! I also forgot my camera when we went to Tennessee to spend Thanksgiving with Alex's family. I was joking with him and said, "We're not going to have any pictures from our first year of marriage!!" I did, however, take pictures of Christmas decorating. I am so impressed with myself because despite all the homework that is due this week, we managed to go get our Christmas tree last night and decorate it as well as put a few house decorations up. Usually it is two weeks before Christmas and my family is just starting the process, but here it is, November, and we are almost finished! I wish I could say the same thing about Christmas shopping, but it is still November and I have a while. I think I'm doing pretty good! Well... I did think I was doing pretty good until a lady that is staying at the hotel I work at just told me she finished her Christmas shopping last night. Seriously?! Way to make me feel horrible! ;)

Anyways, this is our last week of school until finals. I only have one final though so I am practically done! I just have to muster up the motivation to finish two papers and a lesson reflection. It will get done though!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. The food is great, but the company is what truly makes Thanksgiving special. I wish I would have been able to have Thanksgiving dinner with my family, but dinner with the McCalls was very nice. We only spent one day in Tennessee because Alex had to work on Black Friday. I was going to go on Wednesday morning, but my mom and brother were in a car accident and I decided to stay with them and make sure they were okay before leaving. Both cars in the accident were totaled but everyone is okay. The Lord truly had His hand of protection over them, especially my brother. He clicked his seatbelt on thirty seconds before the impact. I am thankful for him and for the Lord protecting him in such a crystal  clear way! He is so good!
